Verne Harris (born in Denver, CO) is the current supervisor of Men's Basketball Officials for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) since 2015. Since 1988, Verne has been a Division-I Men's Basketball Official in many conferences around the country, while currently officiating in the PAC-12, Mountain West, Big West, WAC, Big Sky, and West Coast. Verne is the current founder and camp director of VH1 Basketball Officials Camp. Verne has taught and implemented referee camps since 1991 through out the mid-west region.

Verne attended George Washington High School in Denver, CO. He later attended Arizona State University while obtaining a B.S. in Business Administration. Verne began his officiating career while at ASU and from there worked his way through the high schools ranks all the way to Division-I Men's Basketball. After college, he moved back to Denver, CO and has been a real estate broker for over 30 years in the Denver Metro Area. Verne is happily married to Carla Harris for over 30 years and proud father to his daughter who is a recent graduate of Howard University and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
